Someone sent me a website to help me stop my binge /purging a few days ago .... i also really found Quichanels advice on eating healty foods to reduce the urge to purge very helpfull so thanks :) . umm one f the "steps" were to tell someone u were close too , so i ended up telling my boyfriend ( i dont really have any family , my mom past away about a year ago and my dads in prison so hes the only person im close too )lol i dont know if that was the best thing to do but he's really supportive and i know he wants me to stop more than anything . I guess he can sorta understand my weird moods and stuff now , the olnly problem is i have someone checking up on me now ( i suppose thats a good thing ) and i feel obligated to stop . but hey ill try for him .... _- KEY WORD - TRY no promisses , ecspecially if i start gaining weight by eating . i had a really good week and have almost reached my goal of being in the 100s .... ive put my body through absolute HELL for it ive taken about 6 boxes of laxitives ( 25 pills in each box , yeah i know thats gross ) and purged sooooooo many times , i literally have bruses on my knees . WOW i'm pretty sick i feel as if im bragging right now , lol you know i do that to myself ill be so proud when ive had a good day of bulimia , its kinda a sport u could say , i've mastered the art of binging and purging now i want to get better at it .sort of a love hate relationship u could say , like when im bending over the toilet , with my tooth brush gagging me , and my throught on fire and im having a hard time getting it all out of me ... its the worst feeling in the world . i've just eaten tons of food and omg its not working ... ill start to panic and freak out ! but i have a back up , ill usually go to the shower find new positions to purge ( weird huh ? lol ) and it will work , finally im satisfied with what ive done .... its an amazing feeling . Its over ive done good

If you can't stop, you should really talk to somebody.
You are really hurting yourself by purging..I don't think it is something so uncommon..I've done it before too, but you need to really step back and look at yourself ..really.

I am really happy that you were able to lose all that weight, but with the weight loss maybe you can take the opportunity to turn things around start losing at a steady healthy rate if that's what you want. Eating foods that are healthy and help you holistically make you feel better and don't give you the urge to purge.

If you ever need to talk, I'll be happy to listen.

Thanks for the comments... this is something that im like really struggling w/right now ... i feel like its just taking over me . i'm constantly feeling like im not purging enough or good enough . its all i think about 24/7 i know its not heathy but it doesnt really matter to me , its just something that is FINALLY working i've went from about 280 lbs to around 205 in less than 8 mnths people are commenting on the change ( good and bad ) i dont know what to do though its streessing me out , i cry and cry not b/c i know im hurtin myself but b/c im not perfecting bulimia ( its crazy that i feel like that ) like the other day i gained 2 lbs ( i weigh myself a billion times through out the day ) and i just beat myself up over it . what should i do ? i want to stop but still loose weight

Princess, I don't think that sounds stupid at all. We live in a society that tells us that the only way to be attractive is to be thin, AT ANY COST, but instead of putting it like that we get fake concern telling us we need to lose weight for our health. If we stop to think about it, we know that eating disorders or eating disordered behavior isn't healthy, but it doesn't matter, if you achieve thinness. People will automatically think you're healthy, even if the things Chi-Chi posted about are happening to you, because you're thin and therefore "good." I know of a fat woman who is a tri-athlete. She knows better than anyone else that she's healthy, but she still gets the comments about how she'd be so much healthier if she could just lose some weight. She's a tri-athlete!!!

Please, please read the article I linked to in the discussion forum called "But, Don't You Realize Fat Is Unhealthy?" by Kate Harding at her blog. I think that will help answer your questions better than I ever could.

being fat is def more healthy bc fat is good...seriously though. Fat . Here are some facts on bulimia:Purging can result in the loss of minerals the body needs to function properly, resulting in an electrolyte imbalance. This imbalance can result in irregular heartbeats, increasing the potential for heart failure and death. Those who use drugs to stimulate vomiting, bowel movements or urination further increase the risk of heart failure.

Frequent vomiting can cause other health problems, such as inflammation or tearing of the esophagus, and swollen glands. Acid from vomit can wear down the protective layer of a person's teeth. Those with bulimia often have irregular menstrual periods and lowered interest in sex.

Many bulimia patients have other mental disorders, such as depression, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder. They also may be addicted to drugs or alcohol.

I have never been bulimic and pray to God that u stop if u still are doing it...its not healthy, infact it can be fatal

Hey , i agree its nice ... most ppl think bigger girls are just lazy . i also have a question . for the past year i've been doing some " un healthy " things to loose weight( i know that sounds stupid bc im fat ) . whats better for u being bulimic or fat ? well i would appreciate any feed back .
